Middelkerke is a North Sea municipality (19,052 inhabitants in 2013) located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the villages of Leffinge, Lombardsijde, Mannekensvere, Middelkerke proper, Schore, Sint-Pieters-Kapelle, Slijpe, Westende and Wilskerke. The post-office LEFFINGHE opened on 12 March 1880 (relay), MIDDELKERKE on 1 July 1880, WESTENDE on 19 June 1902.
