Santa Joana Princesa
Saint Joan of Portugal (born in Lisbon, 6 February 1452 and died in Aveiro, 12 May 1490), was a Portuguese saint,
Regent and princess of the House of Aviz, daughter of King Afonso V of Portugal and his first wife Isabella of Coimbra.
Joanna was very beautiful and her hand was sought by several princes.
She entered the Convent of Jesus, at Aveiro, and her life in the convent was so penitential, holy, and heroically humble,
that she died in the sanctity, and miracles followed her decease.
