Asse is a city and municipality (30,875 inhabitants in 2013) located in the province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises also the villages of Bekkerzeel, Kobbegem, Mollem, Relegem and Zellik.

Postal history[edit]

The ASSCHE post-office opened in 1836. It used first a postal code 6 with bars, then a Distribution postal code 68 (on 15 December 1854), a normal code 188 (1860-1864), and 17 with points before 1874. The villages offices opened after 1910.
